It’s hard to believe it’s the third week already! Time flies when you’re having fun.

Sweeney Todd previews start TOMORROW! Whipping Man is still in its extended run, and we’ll be changing over soon to Freud’s Last Session, which will open next Tuesday. (It’s Freud’s Last Session‘s last session at Barrington Stage before it heads to off-Broadway, so catch it while you can!) That’s one of the most beneficial things about interning at a theatre like Barrington Stage Co. There are always shows either opening or closing, so you get a chance to experience that first-hand in a professional setting. And with EIGHT shows this summer, you don’t just experience it, you get lots of practice!

KidsAct! is rapidly approaching. Even though the first session doesn’t begin until July 5th, there is so much to do to get ready for all of the fun!

As for Youth Theatre, rehearsals start next week! (!!!) Everything’s going to come together beautifully and I’m really excited to see the process unfold. And besides, I treasure any excuse to run around humming, “Into the woods, I have to go, I hate to leave, I have to, though…”

I do hate to leave, I have to though. I want to finish off with this lovely story, however. It’s the first one on the page, and it shows the exquisite value of our Playwright Mentoring Project.

That’s it for now! Happy Wednesday!
