It’s amazing to think that I’ve only been at Barrington Stage for a few weeks! I’ve already learned a tremendous amount and feel like I’m part of an amazing family here. I had extremely high expectations coming to Barrington because of the people I know who have worked here in the past, the fabulous people brought in to work here, and the various exciting events and performances I knew I would be involved with. These past few weeks have exceeded all of my expectations and I could not ask for a better place to be spending my summer.

I applied to be a Musical Theatre Apprentice back in December. When I got the offer I accepted without any hesitations. I knew that Barrington Stage would offer me more than I could ever ask for or imagine. I was beyond thrilled and called my parents with tears of joy all the way from London!

It all started with rehearsals for Fiddler on the Roof, in which I’m playing Tzeitel. I could not be more grateful to be involved in such a fabulous and moving show with such an accomplished and inviting company. It has been an honor to work with all of the remarkable people in this company as well as the director Gary John LaRosa. I learned a tremendous amount in the rehearsal process and from the amazing actors that I’m surrounded by on stage. My excitement about this production continues to grow every time I step foot on that stage. I learn new things every night and cannot wait to see what the rest of the run will bring. It was a huge honor to have Sheldon Harnick at our opening performance Sunday night, and it was heart-warming to see the pre-show interview with him and William Finn.

Now that Fiddler is up and running I’m going to begin rehearsing for the cabarets and the new musical that the four Musical Theatre Apprentices put on later in the summer… the excitement never stops! Words cannot express the thrill and appreciation I feel everyday about this fabulous theatre, company, and apprenticeship. I’m meeting such amazing people and having the time of my life!!!
