Words cannot begin to express my amazing journey in Fiddler on the Roof at Barrington Stage. It’s amazing how close you could get with people in a matter of two months. I became part of a wonderful family and I will never forget the people I met in this show. I learned more than I could have ever wished for from the amazing cast and crew and from getting to share the stage with such accomplished and fabulous performers. Towards the last week of our run, I kept getting flashbacks of when I got hired as an apprentice, when I made my audition video for Tzeitel, and when I found out I got the part. I anxiously waited for June 13th, our first Fiddler preview and couldn’t have been more excited to perform such an incredible show with these people. Now I am sitting at my kitchen table, two days after the closing performance of Fiddler, amazed at how fast the run went and how I wish I was currently on that stage performing it. I miss it more than I can say, but I couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative for the experience I had and the relationships I made during the journey.

Now that Fiddler is over, we’ve been diving into rehearsals for our first cabaret. It’s been a lot of fun to get to explore and work on such a different and intimate aspect of theatre and performing. It’s also amazing how much personal attention and rehearsal time we all get considering there are only four of us. The material I’m working on in the cabaret is totally new and fun for me and I’m extremely excited for our performances at the end of the month. We are also going to start rehearsing for our new one act musical soon, which should also be a fabulous learning experience and loads of fun!!

On Thursday the four MTA’s have a master class with Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley. I’m ecstatic to get the chance to perform for these two accomplished and brilliant actors and know I will learn a tremendous amount. This summer has been so rewarding and beneficial to me as both a performer and a person and I’m extremely excited for what’s to come!
