A brilliant, fractured retelling of several well-known fairy tales (Cinderella, Rapunzel, Jack and the Beanstalkand Little Red Riding Hood). The beloved fairy tale characters enter the woods, each looking for something. They are granted their wishes and then, in a clever turn of events, must face what it means to live “happily ever after.” Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning score includes “No One Is Alone” and “Children Will Listen.”
This production of Into the Woods marks the 12th production of Barrington Stage’s Youth Theatre program and the 100th production of Barrington Stage.
