So… maybe I accidentally skipped Week 5. Whoops!

I have a very, very good reason, though. For the last week and a half, I’ve been hanging out with a bunch of cool kids from our Great Barrington KidsAct! camp. KidsAct! is a musical theatre camp where students learn improv skills, music, dance, and all about the rehearsal process. It’s a ton of fun and really educational at the same time.

Right now, we’re in the process of making the final plays. KidsAct! culminates in a final performance, so it’s only natural that we’d pull out all of the stops for it. In this case, that involves a fairy godmother, Peter Pan, a leprauchan, and a Yeti. It’s been fun to revisit how creative and imaginative kids are. I am pretty young and would consider myself a rather imaginative person, but it’s work keeping up with their ideas!

Youth Theatre opens Into the Woods TOMORROW. It’s seriously going to be grand, so get tickets now! The teenagers are so talented, you forget they’re in high school the instant the curtains go up (except in this case, there are no curtains… so… the instant the proverbial curtains go up).

I’m working on a little KidsAct! video, so get excited!

That’s it for now! Happy Tuesday!
