Barrington Stage Company to hold local auditions for
“An Enemy of the People”
Thursday, August 21 at 12Noon at Barrington Stage
(Pittsfield, MA) Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, will hold non-union local auditions for the following roles in the Arthur Miller adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People: The Drunk/Rabble Rouser and Morten Stockmann, a 12-14 year-old boy (son of Dr. Thomas Stockmann) on Thursday, August 21 from 12 Noon – 2pm.
The auditions will be held at the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield, MA.
An Enemy of the People will rehearse from September 9-October 1, with performances from October 2-19.
Actors auditioning for The Drunk should prepare a monologue in the style of Arthur Miller. Actors will be asked to read a scene from the play so familiarity with the play is a plus. Scenes from the play will be available for audition. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together.
