The Incomparable Norm Lewis
An Emmy, Tony, Grammy, and SAG Award nominee, Mr. Lewis is the recipient of The NAACP 2024 Lifetime Achievement In Theatre Award. He starred in Spike Lee’s acclaimed, “Da 5 Bloods,” and made history as The Phantom of the Opera’s first African American Phantom on Broadway. Mr. Lewis received critical acclaim for his performance as Porgy in Broadway’s The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess. Other Broadway credits include Once on this Island, The Little Mermaid, Les Misérables, Chicago, Amour, The Wild Party, Miss Saigon, and The Who’s Tommy. In London’s West End he has appeared as Javert in Les Misérables and in The 25th Anniversary Concert, which aired on PBS.

This includes The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Freud’s Last Session, Dr. Ruth, All the Way, The Chinese Lady, and All of Me, which premiered at BSC and just enjoyed a run at The New Group in Spring 2024.
