BARRINGTON STAGE COMPANY ANNOUNCES PLAYS FOR 2016 10X10 NEW PLAY FESTIVAL

5th Annual New Play Festival part of Pittsfield’s 10X10 Upstreet Arts Festival 

(PITTSFIELD, MA) Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, announces the 10-minute plays for the 5th Annual 10X10 New Play Festival, part of the 2016 10X10 Upstreet Arts Festival.

Performances of BSC’s New Play Festival are February 11-February 28, 2016, at BSC’s St. Germain Stage, located at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street. The press opening will be Sunday, February 14 at 3pm. Tickets go on sale January 12.

The 10X10 Upstreet Arts Festival returns to downtown Pittsfield for the fifth year from February 11-21, 2016, and features music, theatre, dance, film, visual art, spoken word, comedy and more, including BSC’s 10X10 New Play Festival.

Directors for the 10X10 New Play Festival are BSC Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and John Miller Stephany.

Tickets to the 10X10 New Play Festival go on sale January 12. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm, with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. Added performance Sunday, February 21 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $25 Thursday and Sunday evenings, Saturday/Sunday matinees; Friday, Saturday evenings; $30.  Low-priced preview tickets are $15 on February 11 and 12 at 7:30pm.
