Barrington Stage Company’s Professional Youth Theatre is designed to extend the professionalism of our main stage to local youth. More than 100 students a year audition for 16 places in this free program. Accepted students sign a contract and enter an Equity rehearsal and performance schedule under professional director and choreographer Christine O’Grady (Hair on Broadway.) This extended run teaches the students the discipline and spontaneity necessary to repeat a performance for 8 shows each week. Performers also attend all BSC productions, engage in talkbacks with the casts, and participate in master classes in song interpretation, audition prep, and the business of theatre.

Barrington Stage Company Youth Theatre seeks actors between the ages of 13-19 for roles in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, JR. to be presented July 24 through August 11 at Berkshire Museum (39 South Street).
Auditions will be held in two-hour slots by appointment only at Barrington Stage’s Boyd-Quinson Mainstage, 30 Union Street, Pittsfield, MA, on Friday, March 15 (6pm-10pm) and Saturday, March 16 (10am-12pm).
