Barrington Stage Company seeks interns for its 2012 summer season, June through August, in stage management, scenic painting, costumes, carpentry, lighting, gen tech, sound, company management, house management, arts education, box office, development, marketing, and arts administration. Stipend of $85/ week and housing provided. Musical Theatre Apprentices
Barrington Stage Company is now accepting applications for 4 Musical Theatre Apprentice positions to work with top-level NY directors, choreographers and composers during its summer season from June through August 2012. Apprentices perform in one Mainstage show, in weekly cabarets under the supervision of William Finn, and in a new one-act musical directed by a Drama League Fellow. They also participate in twelve master classes. Previous classes have been led by Broadway legends Christopher Innvar (Floyd Collins, Porgy and Bess), Marin Mazzie (Ragtime, Next to Normal) and Jason Danieley (Candide, Curtains), TV Star Debra Jo Rupp (That 70′s Show), and famed composer William Finn (Falsettos, Little Miss Sunshine). The cost of the program is $2,500 with limited scholarships available. Housing provided. To apply, prepare a video with two songs, one uptempo and one ballad, and send the youtube link along with a resume and headshot to Hester Kamin, Director of Education, at hkamin@barringtonstageco.org.

KidsAct! – Summer 2012: Session 1

Summer Musical Theatre Camp!
Awaken your child’s imagination with a one-of-a-kind theatre camp.
KidsAct! is an acting program for students ages 8-14 (in three age groups) designed to provide comprehensive performance training. Students weave together musical theatre songs with a script that they create with their classsmates and then perform it. Skills taught include acting, dance and movement, voice, singing and stage combat. The program culminates in a performance open to the public.

Classes meet Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm Cost: $500
Partial and full scholarships available based upon need. 10% discount for enrolling two or more students or for booking both sessions.
